Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel. The provider is Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA.

When you access the website, Vercel processes technically necessary connection and log data. This may include your IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request, the referrer, browser and device information, and error or diagnostic data. This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its stability and security, and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website.

Vercel may also process data in the United States. Vercel describes the safeguards it uses, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, in its Data Processing Addendum. Further information is available in Vercel's Privacy Notice. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required for these purposes, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Vercel Web Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregated form, which pages are visited and how the website is used technically. The data may include the page visited, referrer, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type.

According to Vercel, Web Analytics does not use cookies or store IP addresses. A visitor hash generated from the request is not stored permanently and is discarded after 24 hours. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to analyse and improve the website while collecting as little data as possible. Further details are available in the Vercel Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Language preference

When you change the language using the language switcher, we store the technically necessary NEXT_LOCALE cookie. It contains only the selected language (de or en) and remains valid for one year. It is used solely to remember the language you explicitly selected for future visits. Under § 25(2)(2) TDDDG, consent is not required because this storage is necessary to provide the language preference you requested.

Contact

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your contact details and the content of your message to respond to your enquiry. Where the contact relates to entering into or performing a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. In other cases, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

The data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims require longer storage. Please note that unencrypted email transmission may involve security risks.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, and receive your personal data in a portable format. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority includes:
